Newburyport Soda

I like the shape of this signpost. I'm curious about the torn bottom edges.

Cape Cod Seaweed

This seaweed was swept away after this picture....shows you how nothing stays the same..

And from a nearby private beach:

You could sell this as a necklace!

Cape Cod, Chatham

Another from the Cape Cod series. The sand is so much paler than Norfolk it's interesting as a comparison. I did like these wooden fences though.

Cape Cod - Flowers

I really like this stange combination of colours - strong green, purple and orange. You would never put these colours together but nature makes it look gaudy and yet complimentary. No wonder butterflies come in so many colours...

Rocky Mountain National Park

There is something magical about snow - whenever I'm in a snowy environment I'm at my happiest. This was a beautifully sunny November day in Colorado and the water was freezing as it was running.

I've added a new photo gallery for snow...I'll add more as time goes on.

Shaker Wood

I do love the repetitions in nature and I was struck by this woodpile in the Canterbury Shaker village in New Hampshire.

Angus almost had to drag me out of the shaker shop as I was ready to buy the world and ship it back to the UK...luckily I did escape with my own shaker wooden box made from birds eye maple.

The perfect place, Aspen, CO

After trekking all day in the summer hills of Aspen, I found an abandoned mining village with a series of cabins.

If I wasn't writing this, I would be there. The scenery was a total prairie pioneer dream. I think I saw too much Heidi as a child.

Lake Powell Oil

Well, it looked like oil anyway. The rocks have great textures against the water.
